CAP altitude settings.

Post by hbrsvl »

Hi v1102aa, scen.9,Allies, late June 42.

Here's my problem: I have a vitally needed amphib TF coming into Port Moresby. My CAP settings for this TF are: 1 FS at 16K ft., 2FS at 1K ft.-these are from PM.

But when combat occurs, all 3 squadrons are at 9K ft!! How do I ensure my CAP gets to and stays at the assigned altitudes?

Thanks, Hugh Browne

You can't. Your fighters have to fight the enemy. So if they come in at 9K, how do you think your fighters patrolling at 16K are actually going to get at the enemy. Obviously they come down to 9K and bounce the enemy.
