Out of planes slot!

Hi,

Today I've got this message "out of planes slot!" when trying to draw a plane from pool. Playing as allies in November 1944.

I can't fill my squadrons. Any ideas about how to solve it?

Limited number of slots is a perennial problem in WITP... usually you max out on pilots and bad things happen first...

You might try disbanding some smaller units into larger ones... this should work as a temporary solution... otherwise, you could initiate generalized air attacks to "thin out" the number of planes around.

Thanks for that tip. I didn't know making fewer air units could help this problem. Is there a hard number for this issue. I've seen total pilot numbers below 30k and things like that.

Well, i am not SURE this will solve the problem, but since slots seem to be "reserved" for units, this is worth the effort to try it... on the other hand, it might not work...

i haven't heard of this problem (or don't remember hearing about it) before... are you running regular WITP or a mod??

As i mentioned, usually you run out of pilot slots first (and then bad things happen).

Actually I'm not running WitP. I have AE.

And I just realized I'm confusing this problem (plane slots) with "the pilot bug" in WitP. Sorry about that.

We are playing to CHS 2.08.
My opponent is also getting the same message.
It has happened at the same time for both sides [&:]

Yes - there is a set total number the game allots for various things... one player could use most of them and mess up his opponent.... the classic glitch is for the total number of air units... one player can divide his units up so many times that the other player can't do it...

BTW - let me know if the disbanding one unit into another works... or not... if that doesn't work, trying withdrawing the unit.

If neither solution works, a generalized blood bath is in order... [X(] [:(] [8|]
