Game Locks Up

Gents -

Patch 1.024 is installed along with the additional direct X components that were recommended.

Patch 1.03 Public Beta has also been installed.

I am new to the game, so played the first tutorial. All is well until combat - then the game locks - multiple screens overlapping and not clearing, eventually leads to a a full lock up.

My computer:

AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual
Core Processor 3800+
2.01 GHz 2.00 GB of Ram
XP Home OS version 2002 Service Pack 2
I have a Nvidea Geforce 9500GT.


I believe that Armada has great potential, and look forward to learning the game. Thank you for your assistance.

Edit: I experienced this issue in December / January IIR, browsed thru the forum and found a fix. Will do a new search and read what has already been posted on this issue. Am sure that there will be a fix or workaround; Matrix and Ntronium have always been responsive and very helpful with any problem encountered. I will see if updating drivers / turning shadows down does the job.

Edit: New Driver available, downloading now.

> New drivers were available; downloaded using the auto detect method, installed but received an error message so I will do a manual search / verification and install the new driver.

> Shadows were on, now off. Game runs smoothly without problems.

I play only on the weekends (yes, its hard, but am up very early each work day...<sigh>) so I shut down Sunday PM for the week.

Thank you, Sir - will have to wait until Friday nite to continue the pacification of the galaxy - my way.
