Attack bombers and naval attack bombing

My attack bombers don't seem to be able to hit naval targets with their bombs. Over two dozens attack runs conducted against big, slow merchant ships by B-25D1s with pilots trained up to 60 exp, 65 Low Naval bombing skill, but not a single bomb hit. A bug or something I'm doing wrong?

Until skip bombing came along your results are about right.

I've had a different experience: Doing OK in April '42 with B-26s out of PM at 100 ft. getting about 17% hits on AKs around Finschafen, Lae, et al. Exp 40-50 and LowN skill around 60-70 vs. AI on Hard.

Edit: Not sure if it's a factor, but playing latest hotfix 1102aa and Scenario 46 (Juan's Enhanced CV Mod).

B-26 isn´t an attack bomber though, it´s a level bomber.

If you are skip bombing (100ft) I would expect more carnage and higher losses. Even if you are low level bombing under 6K, that skill and experience typically would get results, especially on lumbering ships.

Change your squadron commander to high naval and agression and try again.

I seem to recall that skip bombing uses 'strafe' skill not low level bombing (at least with fighter bombers) .. I could very well be wrong though.
