CVs on city attack

Hi all,

I have encountered a problem and I´m not sure if I´m not just missing something. I´m trying to make a surprise attack on japanese base (its resource centers), but I can´t plan it when I´m out of range. I can plan only port/airfield attack. Basicaly it means I have to move my CVs into the range first, stay there whole day and order the attack for the following day instead of moving into the range at night phase, execute preordered attack during the day phase and disappear during the night pahse again. I can make hit-run-hide raid on ports or airfield but not on industry. Or is there some way how coud I plan the industry attck when I´m out of range?
