Manifestation of COTAs AI second face.

Post by OlegHasky »

So I had my mind set on the Malta operation lately.
But appeared I couldnt do nothing than to let go the operation due to the brilliance of AI..
I regret that, because I was aiming for good expierience defending this Island. (germans sure had a force equal to it)

The engine tooked away the wheel, and I was left with a bow without my target.

Screen schowing the AI forcing all his main force trough ridiculous way.

The very worst path you could send your soldiers trough. [&o]
On this triangle of death.. It needed no more brilliance than good artyllery barrage, for sended units to be caught in panick, and one by one be wasted one way or another..
Despite the gatherings, there were no push on the Town Imkabba..
He just kept shooting units up..

Such thing can just took away your taste..

Time Elapsed.

I'm not completely sure how this situation developed, but the AI does have a semi-suicidal behavior that can definitely be exploited. It likes to use the night-hours to make armored penetrations toward AP locations. The problem is that it apparently doesn't know when dawn will arrive or what the implications of being surrounded by AArm points will be when the sun comes up. Realizing that this is going to occur, and planning for it, probably accounts for one-third of my victories against the AI. I find this aspect of the game, night operations, to be pretty silly/unrealistic at times.
Government is the opiate of the masses.
