Desert Fox 1941

Post by dougals mcnord »

Can anyone explain why Desert Fox 1941 has been discontinued?

I'm not sure what you mean by discontinued. The game is sold out from the Matrix store and is no longer inproduction, but you should be able to get a copy from one of it's distributors. They only print some many copies and when the're gone that's it.

Is this a good sign?

gmenfan, is it a good sign that this product is almost sold out? In other words, does this mean it meets/exceeds your sales goal? As a big matrix and Megacampaign fan, I'd be very happy to hear that your MCs are doing well financially, especially since earlier in the forum there were mentions that MCs are not sell as well as hoped.

However, I now have a problem of buying this MC. I have LV right now and am planning to buy MCNA and MCWT both at the same time. After reading this message I checked the matrix store and the Chips & Bits website (I live in the U.S.), and sure enough it's sold out in both places. So, what is my best option to purchase both CDs now, with reasonable shipping expense? Or are there any stores in Dallas, Texas area that have MCs on shelf?

Thanks.

Unfortunately MCNA appears to be sold old on every vendor website that I can actually read, but I'm still looking. This is a good thing, and good news for Matrix, WT and LV are also big sellers but are still available almost everywhere.

Thanks for the answer gmenfan. even though I find it a little vague. I did find the game in england and purchased it for 24.99 pounds. Its my first overseas buy and am hoping the "brits" come through.

The download could still be available although a large one. I found the game on cd at a store in England. (DUCHET COMPUTER) Look for the email address at listed retail outlets. Good Luck!

emek: MCNA 1941 Desert Fox is not available for download and never was. The base game Steel Panthers World at War is available as a free download. MCNA is an add on to the free game.

I know that. If this addon is not available anymore for purchase on a cd version ,make it online ether for pay or for free download.
I am willing to pay if you will make it online.

Chips&Bits claims they're out of stock though. This is the first place I check and they have been out of stock for a few months now.

On-line download

Post by TheZel66 »

I too fail to understand why Matrix doesn't have the MCNA game available to purchase on-line as a download. Granted, the footprint is large (if you converted your .wav files to .mp3's you wouldn't have this problem either!), but if people are willing to pay and download, then go for it.

Why wouldn't you try to make the most cash from a product that is possible???

BTW, i loved it.

I would love to see it made available again! But then I am slightly prejudiced ;)
