Question about custom/amended Estabs

Post by Prince of Eckmühl »

So, I've got a new estab file called Anzio Estab.

I've modified some existing unit types. For instance, I've killed off Sherman types that weren't available to companies/platoons until mid-1944. I've also created some entirely new unit types that aren't available in the BftB estabs, like Rangers. Obviously, I benefited, in that instance, from the values that are readily accesible in the CotA estabs.

Question:

Can I begin building forces for my Anzio scenario with my preliminary Anzio Estab, or must I wait until my custom estab is completely finished. I'd hate like hell to build all those units/subunits, in SM, and have some amendments to the estab values, down the road, hose my OOB work on these custome scenarios.

You will be fine.

What we often do is create a Scenario which has the full order of battle in it.

Then when creating new scenarios you can either clone this scenario or export/import the forces.

Editing your estab file after you create the sceanrio forces is fine, we do that all the time.
