Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Trivia

Post by goodwoodrw »

G'day just posting an observation. Since BFTB was released about a fortnight ago there has been between 30000 to 35000 hit on its forum, now I know almost 2/3 are on one post, but in my time, I don't think I have seen so much activity dedicated to one title, since I have been frequenting this site. that is a lot of eyes focused a single product. Whether it has been good or bad publicity the extra traffic must have generated some unexpected sales. I wouldn't mind wagering that there has been a few lurkers that have been sitting on the fence, purchasing this game due the positive responses on the forum, Sadly we will never know the real outcome, except if Dave announces some new products coming our way in the next few months. Hres hoping

I'm one of those lurkers. I played the original AA Red Devils demo without ever really understanding what it's all about years ago, but my interest has been piqued anew by BftB (and I'm eagerly awaiting the demo) to the extent I've reinstalled the Red Devils demo and I actually "get" the concept now. The difference in my case is because of the release of the game concept and tutorial videos. i took the time to download and watch them and they did a great job explaining the "why" of the series. That got me interested in reading the BftB AARs and now I'm eagerly devouring all the info I can find.

I have been on the fence about this one as well.
I have been hesitant because I own the previous titles and really didnt play them that much because I too did not "get them."
Although I havent loaded up the previous titles, I am in the same boat as smithcorp.
The videos I have been watching have really helped me understand the series.
I dont think I will take the time to load the previous titiles (because I would have to dig them out of storage) but I think I am getting much more interested in picking up BFTB because the of the video explanation/tutorials.
