Hello all,

Sorry for the delay, but the Beta of v1.08.02 is now available for you to review. You can find it in the Members Club. Here are all the changes since 1.07.02;


Version 1.08.02 (05/20/10)
  • Game Bug Fixes
    • 'Separate Peace' no longer causes break of alliance when there is no mutual opponent.
    • Resolved Siege battle irregularities.
    • Reinforcing of allied armies now working properly.
    • Able to create depot via Sea Supply in besieged Gibraltar.
    • Able to reinforce a battle near Lisbon.
    • Can now get past Jan 1805 SP reinforcement phase in PBEM game.
    • Great Britain controlled Sweden no longer losses all its forces when re-conquered.
    • Kushanz Alia no longer assigned to two different Cavalry Corps.
    • Able to transfer factors from depot garrisons to corps.
    • Swiss I corps has capacity for militia.
    • Fixed Info leak in hot-seat games (counter pool).
    • British guard corps no longer able to be committed when loaned to Russia.
    • Prussian guard can no longer be over-committed when loaned.
    • Fleet no longer allowed into port w/o access given or war declared.
  • Rules Deviation
    • Reinforcement into depot garrison follows garrison rules, not corps rules.
    • Britain receives +1 in naval combats when having 1.5 times heavies.
    • Leader casualties corrected
    • Minor Supply error corrected
    • Winter Land Movement Option Fixed
  • PBEM Bug
    • When 3rd party combat is turned on in a PBEM game, normal EiA combat can now be used for a battle.
    • Depot Placement Allowed in Allied Port City
  • AI Bug
    • AI depot placement no longer leaves extras 'lying around'.
Version 1.08.01
  • UI Enhancement
    • Transferring land leaders from one corps to another can now only be done in the naval phase.
  • UI Bug
    • In game help files work with Windows 7.
    • Players no longer able to loan any players fleets to their allies.
  • Game Bug Fixes
    • Fixed bizarre movement bug with Stralsund.
    • Game log reports GB naval and French land move order correctly.
    • Loaned corps retain "loaned" status.
    • Allies will now fight together in blockade box.
    • Fixed raising of Feudals into/out of cities allowing an extra move.
    • During Reinforcement phase one can no longer click on a depot in home nation and see other nation reinforcement totals.
    • Admiral Nelson can't be placed in sea area without a ship.
    • Stopped besieged force moving to rural area when depot is placed.
    • Fixed Guerrilla Removal.
    • Enemy fleets can't occupy same blockade box.
    • Fixed 'Invalid Floating Point Operation' error when attempting to create 3rd party battles.
    • 3rd Party Combats can now be drawn.
    • Now able to besiege in ceded province.
    • Luxemburg is treated as forest during battles.
  • Rules Deviation
    • Game now allows blockade of hostiles in neutral port.
    • No Longer able to force march after disembarking from ships.
  • AI Bug
    • Port appropriate for retreating fleet.

    • Forage and Auto-forage Rolls lists Corps Names in Log.
    • Added auto-garrison feature.
    • Venetian Light Ships added to OOB.
    • Make diplomacy, reinforcements and economics simultaneous in PBEM.
    • Cleaned up Skipping Turns Mechanism and Log entries.
  • Game Bug Fixes
    • Fixed prisoner release log error.
    • Ansbach appears as minor country to select as a surrender condition.
    • Depots used for besieged port supply can move out.
    • Interlopers don't steal conquest.
    • Besieged corps no longer can move.
    • Cleaned up third party blockade chaos/bugs.
    • No longer able to place minor fleets in any sea area or port on map that controlling major power has access.
    • Relieved city doesn't forage in the following month.
    • Free states lost in Fiasco.
    • Flanders becomes neutral when France (owner) reaches instability.
    • Reinforcing leader doesn't assume control of the battle.
    • Turkey can cede Egypt.
    • Simultaneous peace no longer breaks alliance.
    • Danes able to capture transports.
    • Garrison no longer surrenders to enemy reinforcements.
    • Fixed Game tool-tip heading.
  • PBEM Bug Fixes
    • Game recognizes battle files.
    • PBEM battle die rolls no longer repeat in second round of battle.
    • Only one Tripolitanian corps.
  • Rules Deviation
    • Freikorps Morale changed to 1.0.
    • Stopping US Trade corrected.
    • Fixed Rules violation allowed in minor country fleet reinforcement.
    • Austrian Insurrection Corps can not be placed in provinces that contain enemy factors.
    • If a port area is occupied (not the port itself) by enemy troops, fleets can no longer make multiple attempts to beak blockade.
  • AI Bug
    • AI no longer retreats to capital in fear of DoW by minor power.
    • Great Britain no longer ignores its own embargo.

Can someone who knows please explain to me how to safely install the beta without hurting my already existing games?

The best way is to install it to another folder.  Reinstall the game, but when it asks what folder to install it to create a new folder name, like EiA Beta.  Then install the Beta update to the same folder.

The above advice seemed to cause some confusion. Just to be clear, this is a Beta UPDATE and does still need to be installed over a full version in order to work. Andrew's suggestion, which is correct, is to install a second full copy of the game in a different directory and then install the Beta update on top of that second installation.
