CHS and Windows 7 / 64-bit

Need some help fellow forumites.

I have installed CHS on two other computers, so I am not exactly a novice and getting CHS to work properly.

However, I have run into a problem trying to install it on a new laptop. I have a PBEM that has been going about two years, and we are in very late 1943 -- and I do not want to have to terminate the game due to technology mismatch!

So, here is the scoop. WITP installs and runs fine. I have the latest patches and there is no issue with vanilla WITP.

However, when I try to install CHS the batchfile and modselect .exe's for loading the extended map and the CHS mod respectively throw an error. The laptop is a 64-bit machine, and these tools used for loading the map and CHS mod state that they are incompatible with 64-bit technology.

Now I am guessing that someone out there has already solved this. There have to be people who are still playing long-running matches and have upgraded to new systems with Windows 7 / 64-bit architecture -- so, I am hoping I can solicit some advice on how to make this happen.

In the Andrews_WitP_v6.2 folder, after unzipping it, there is a folder named MISC
In the MISC folder there are two (2) files named CHOICE one is and ms-dos app and the other an .exe
you want the .exe it should be shown as application in the type column mine has a date of 12/16/2004

I did a little test and the ms-dos app got the no 64 bit stuff allowed but the other works flawlessly
