How to disrupt enemy supply convoy?

Post by jomni »

Before invading an island, I would like to cut off the enemy's supply so that the chances of success are improved.

So so what do I do to effectively disrupt the supply convoy? Can I form a blockade?
Which ship type and orders? Where to put them? How do I see if it's working?

I suppose putting ships and subs in the relevant sea area should do the trick. But what orders? Normal? Raid? Engage / Don't Engage? How do I see the results?

In my game as US, I still hold Wake. And I still get full supply each turn even if there are IJN TFs in the area invading and bombarding each turn. I do have some subs but they seem to don't want to attack at the moment. So my Wake force (which I upgraded to Corps... unrealistic but gotta do this to win right?) still hangs on because of the continuous supply. I fear that it will be the same case when I start the island hopping phase.

The most efficient way is to send your subs into sea zone adjacent to the port of destination, and set them into raider ode.

Ok will try that.  Do I see the results of my raid?
Would be nice if there's a blockade order for certain TFs where you can put them into an enemy controlled port but don't know if it will skew the game balance and make invasions too easy.
