Another great game today...

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Another great game today...

Post by wodin »

Had another great battle today.Mayhem on the Meuse...played as the Allies....really good scenario as you defend first then go onto attack...the Germans surrendered after losing 7123 men to 1029 allies....can't remember the other stats but I know 47 Axis units surrendered and 9 disbanded to 5 allied surrendered and disbanded.

Had a great time...first time I've seen allied airstrikes being called of due to enemy fire.

Might try it as the Germans but I imagine it being a very difficult propersition.

No CTD's either.

Both those stats seem very disparate [&:]

I'm the same PR - only difference you sound like you're on the fence. I'm off the fence and still reading about it. I guess I just want to check out Panthers latest and greatest. You never know...maybe I'll get the next installment.

Off the fence as well (Developer's comment at the end of the price thread helped that - even though was contemplating taking the plunge at 'the price').... Haven't been reading as much.. But check now and then..

JD the Axis had different objectives and had to hold two places I never actually got to...I had fullfilled most of my Obj's though...I find this part of the beauty of the game....your doing well....but you may have all the equipment and men so you should do well...but did you do as well as you could have? I should have pushed them harder and got those last two objectives or at least stopped them from controlling them alot earlier...the Axis got 60 points a piece for each of them unkown to me....

I have lost and lost badly aswell...I just don't post those[;)]

what about the lack of MP players?
or is all "training atm?"

I've never played any of the series multi player and feel no need todo so...the AI is running your show to a point so it can certainly run its own...I was defeated today so I tried it from the other side and only just did better than the AI...

Remember to deny the opponent victory points is half the battle. Objectives are usually mutual so it is a good idea to at least try to invest the objective as early as possible with some troops to bring the ratio of freindly/enemy down.

True but you don't always know the enemies objectives...thats whats so good about the game...or you can see an obj thats worth 5 points...to the enemy it's worth 60...but you don't know that...also my win indicator looks like I've won it hands down...yet come the AAR it's a draw as the enemy did just aswell in a different way...I enjoy this about the game...you don't know you've won until the AAR...excellent.
