Incompatibility

Post by Tomokatu »

Having just been massively thrashed in a pbem of V1.06, I installed the V1.07 Hotfix today.
I can't start a new game and get the onscreen error message "This game is not compatible with current version".

A screencap of that, together with the last (about) ten lines of ConsoleOut.txt is included in the attached zipfile. If it makes any difference, my upgrade path started with WWII:RtV.

Is it a standard scenario?

Yep. Tested with all the standard scenarios, with the same result. I only wanted to play the Grand Campaign.
I have some mods in their directories and used a counter mod in my 1.06 PBEM but after this first happened I tested this with completely standard "Preferences", that is, NO MODS.

AHa!
That may be the problem!
No - I assumed the hotfix would contain the patch.
I shall download the patch separately and install that over the hotfix, then re-install the hotfix.
Is that OK?
