los lof issue?

Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem is a highly enhanced new release of Close Combat, using the latest Close Combat engine with many additional improvements. Its design is based on the critically acclaimed Close Combat – A Bridge Too Far, originally developed by Atomic Games, as well as the more recent Close Combat: The Longest Day. This is the most ambitious and most improved of the new Close Combat releases, but along with all the enhancements it retains the same addicting tactical action found in the original titles! Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem comes with expanded force pools, reserve & static battlegroups, a troop point buying system, ferry and assault crossings, destructible bridges, static forces and much more! Also included in this rebuild are 60+ battles, operations and campaigns including a new enhanced Grand Campaign!

los lof issue?

Post by JudgeDredd »

So I think I've found another example of the LoS/LoF issue. If I'm mistaken I apologise

My troops on the left in the building are at 12m. There is a flak unit inside the flak tower (sitting a fair way back in the tower tbh) and has annihilated 2 or 3 of my units. But my rifle unit (nor my .30 cal in the same location) has los or lof to it. The flak unit is in a tower at 16m??

oh - and as you can see from the pic below, that German flak unit seems to have no problems hitting my troops on the ground beside the building!

Looking at it, the elevation is all over the shop on this map. I'm not pointing that out as an issue...just saying the LoS and LoF issues might not be issues. From the building, my troops could pretty much see nothing. Now I'm SURE I right clicked on the building where my units are to see the height and it said 12m. I've just done it again and it seems it's 4m.

Also where the 94m mark is, it's 16m...I am still confused how it can happen one way and not another...but still...
