Corrections for new patch

Post by KuniworthII »

Swedish cities are mispelled:

Lulea should be "Lulea" (Luleå) and it should have a port. This was the main port for transport of iron ore to Germany and with the frozen baltic Narvik was used.

Lingkoping should be Linkoping(Linköping)

Also there is no fortress in Brest-Litovsk which is baffling considering this beeing what the city was famous for.

Stalingrad is placed weird. Considering it is not a particulary big city during ww2 I find it hard to see why it should have two city hexes when Kharkov and Kiev got one. Keep the northern one and move the river Don one hex to the west. If you against all reason decide to keep it move the south from 226,95 to 225,96 so the city is one the west bank of the river Volga.

Also check PP for russian cities. Decrease Stalingrad PP, increase in Kiev and Kharkov(major cities).

Taranto is mispelled, it should not be "Tarent", it should be Taranto, the main nval base for Italy.

Also I major overhaul of commanders and ratings are needed.

You oughta add the home base of the royal navy at Scapa Flow. It should be in the Orkneys.

Dunkirk needs a harbor. It is like known for beeing the last available harbor for the BEF to escape back to England so whats the point having it if it got no port???? Add that and reduce the PP to 0.

Batumi is missing a port. It was the base for the soviet black sea fleet after Sevastopol fell.

One reason which may justify Stalingrad as two hexs is not that it was a larger city, but that it stretched a considerable distance along the bank of the Volga. It complicated the German's attempt to take the city, as there was no defined city centre to capture, just a long sprawling built up area and factory complexes. [:)]

Yes it stretches along the Volga but was not a major city at the time, much smaller than Kiev and Kharkov. I see it more fit to give two hexes cities to Leningrad first of all.

Hey my man Agent Smith!

Well I have no interest to get involved in SC global, I'm waiting to see if there will be a sc3 or not. Time of wrath damn sure improved since it changed name but still is rough around the edges. I don't like the click-fest in the game, airunits you need so much clicks just to do a mission. You just should have to click on the air unit and then launch strike or what ever, not have to click on type of mission. Air-reconnaisance should be automatic.

Also a map-editor or the possibility to make own maps with events would be awesome.

I hope the dev's implement your requests.
-great to have you on board with TOW.
Dude, huge fan of your work, the flame wars on battlefront were brilliant, balanced nicely with your insights on the Eastern Front.
You still running your forum? Is Jersey J. etc. still there?
-and yeah it is a bit of a clickfest.
but it does have a nice SC1 feel to it.
