Banzia,Bonzia

Post by bigred »

I noticed the japs are sharing the HURAH of the US army and USmarines when they capture a base. I am surfing the net looking for a more appropriate "celebration" on the capture of an allied base by the japs. Below is my first find, but I recall newsreels of the fall of singapore and the gutteral Banzia call at the surrender. So I am looking for something better than this to substitude in my program when the japs capture a base.
And what is the correct spelling?

In my game they yell "Banzai." Did you overwrite a sound file?

I've always thought the Allies' victory cry was sort of wimpy, almost Python-esque. I remember finding a better one at a fan Web site for WITP; maybe I should do some sound surgery today. In particular, after a year, I'm VERY tired of finding the "main body." And a real diving alarm klaxon file wouldn't be unwelcome.

Re-reply here:

Also see these sites for lots of WITP sound files that work fine in AE. Also many load screen bitmaps. There's a lot of ship and plane art as well, but I don't know if AE art has changed size or format. I stick to loadscreeens and sound files.

Cobra was the king of replacement sound files. There's some good ones in there.

I remember Banzai, Banzia in the first AE version. Seems to me after some upgrades the Banzai stoped. wonder if an upgrade stoped the sound effect?

if you don't like that Yankee hurrah sound, I can get you a sound file of a recruit company learning how to yell Ooh Rah!
