Any idea when official patch will be released?

Any idea when the beta patch will go offical? Wife and kid are out of town next week, would be really excited to be able to spend some time with revamped DW...

That would be nice to know (= but im playing the beta right now. Hopefully they release a patch notes that shows the difference of the beta from the actual release... and mabye some things they are going to address after its out.

I really recommend downloading the beta right NOW, even if you are not (apologize if you are) used to dealing with beta's and so on.
The beta patch is so much better than the "old" Distant Worlds, even though it has the beta tag on it, i'd argue that the unpatched game is by far more beta than 1.0.6.0

I have patched up every time a beta or an update came out, and with very few exceptions have seen a growth in playability and reduction in unexpected glitches and crashes. Some people seem to be bent out of shape that the game is not "100%" right out of the box, but in something this large and complex, the willingness of the developers to patch and fix has made this a really worthwhile game investment in my mind. It has become somewhat addictive -- are you sure you're not including some psychic drugs embedded in the patches?

The log says that the beta could be changed in a release any time now. But, well, this is not the first one to state that, and it is getting old... I suppose we will get another one before it is released.
