What does the line on the Left Side of the icon stand for?

The team behind the award-winning game Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive early days of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris is the first in an innovative series of operational World War II wargames that also include a strategic element. The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris simulates Germany’s military successes in Poland and France in 1939 and 1940 (including also a hypothetical “Sea Lion” invasion of Great Britain).

What does the line on the Left Side of the icon stand for?

Post by htuna »

I would assume strength.. but was curious.. because sometimes it would be red on an NME icon.. but then when moving closer and getting a higher recon value, it could turn yellow?

I know the 'dot' above it is supply'... didn't see any icon pictures in the manual, so not sure if it's mentioned..

thanks

Not sure, but as you say: when moving closer and getting a higher recon value... that's exactly it; moving closer and getting a higher recon value gives you better idea of the units you're facing. Heck, sometimes you don't even know there are units nearby you untill you actually move into that hex. Or sometimes you see an undermanned counter, only to discover (when getting better recon) that it is an fully operable division. (uh-oh)

The bar indicates the percentage of original strength left. It contains the same % value as the Integrity score in the unit stats.

Loving this game so far.  Fishing through old threads awnsered a major question I had about the line on the left side of the counters.

Now for some follow on questions,  What do the colors of the line signify ?

Also, when at full zoom with nato counters selected, what does the large number at the bottom of the counter mean ?

A comparative strength estimate of the unit. So you can get a vague idea of their strengths at a glance.
