Just purchased...download question

Post by linger »

Hi,

I just bought Distant Worlds and saw that the download page I went to says I have 30 days to download the game.

I didn't buy the extended download service feature, but is there any way to redownload the game after 30 days? If so, how long do I have to redownload it?

I figured there would be a download feature from my MatrixGames account, but I couldn't find any there either.

Thanks.

As far as I understand there is no set time limit on the downloads of Matrix Games, i think you are able to relocate your download after the 30 days expire by contacting their support or something, so the extended download is not really needed.  I can't remember the details, but I'm sure there is a thread somewhere on here about it [&:]

Don't worry about the 30-day thing. Matrix has repeatedly said (and this applies to pretty much *all* their games) that you can effectively download your game(s) for as long they're in existence. If for some reason you need/want to re-download a game after the initial 30 days, all you really need is the game's serial number.

And if you register your game with Matrix you will have access to your serial numbers in their members only area.

Don't forget you can also just burn the installer to CD. I generally do so together with a text file with the serial number.

Did you register your game? If not, then you might have problems. Not shure on that part though, but it's easier to download the game after 30 days if you registered your game.
