mccent: to play online, you need an IM service, like ICQ. You then have to post your ICQ# here, so people can check when you're online. Then you need to retrieve your IP address, which will show in the 'netgame' option. Select create game or join game if you want to host or if you don't. Host gets to select battle parameters. Send your IP address to your opponent via ICQ. Wait for him to create/join the game. He'll walk you through the motions through the ICQ dialogue window.
About the map editor, it is not available.
