can a scenario crash?

Post by Sid »

After playing from May through January 7, my game crashes on January 8, every time I load and run it! It allows me to take Cooktown, and hangs, playing music, but otherwise locking up the computer. I normally have keyboard access to other programs as I have a special IBM keyboard - but this is disabled too. It is 100%. Does the AI object to Japan taking part of Australia? I note that Japanese PT boats (USS Houstan ran into them on her last night, at Sunda Strait) don't exist, F1M2 Petes cannot act as fighters, and the world's first amphibious assault ship is not in the game. Is a Japanese flag on Australia too much for the computer?

You should post the first part of your message in the bug forum. Since you have a saved game leading to this crash, you will be asked to send it to the Matrix staff in order to reproduce it and correct the bug ...

If you have some remarks on the OOB - please feel free to provide as much new information as possible in order for Matrix to improve it.

Ex : new informations about Japanese PT boats, Japanese amphibious assault ship, F1M2 fighter abilities, ...

Auto victory

Post by mogami »

Hi, Cooktown is one of the auto victory bases. If the Japanese control it after 1 Jan 43 with twice the required supply the game ends. Were they PT boats or PC/PG boats? (sub chasers)

The Mitsubishi F1M2 was designed as an observation/general purpose floatplane and was the last biplane to be approved by the Imperial Japanese Navy. The ‘Pete’ had excellent performance and was employed both as ship- and shore-based extensively throughout the Pacific War. It was originally designed as a catapult-launched observation seaplane but saw service in many other roles including convoy escorts, coastal patrols and even as interceptor fighter and dive-bomber in support of amphibious operations.

There is supposed to be a screen shot when game ends. It works in patch but ver 1.0 often just returns to menu screen.
