air strike question

3 times in a game now, the KB air strikes, after breaking through US CAP, has elected to attack a US DD group in the same hex instead of US carriers. Is this something anyone has run into before? I have never seen anything like it and do not understand why the AI would elect to hit DD's instead of carriers if they are in the same hex

though very rare, I´ve seen this happening. Especially if you´re launching more than one strike on multiple enemy TFs in one hex. So sometimes the first strike (wich may get thru the CAP or not) is/was designated to hit the CVs and the 2nd will aim to some other vessels then.

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do about... AFAIK It can't be helped [:@][&:]
