CTDs please help

EDIT: I think I solved this problem by re-installing the game. So far, so good. No need for help as yet.

I bought this game a few days ago. No problems at first but now I'm getting lots of CTDs. I get CTDs when I'm in the mission editor and I'm trying to select units for the mission scenario. My PC specs are:

Windows XP SP3
AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core processor 6000+
3GHz
3GB RAM
AV = Kaspersky
Graphics = L22W-5 @ 1440x900; 512MB GeForce 9600 GT
Motherboard = ASUSTeK M4N72-E

I'd really appreciate some help on this as, on my system, the game is currently too unstable to use. Many thanks for your time.

Sonds like an issue on your PC indeed as this game is very stable with very few, if any, reports of crashes.
