Can someone direct me to the rules as to fighers on the defense on an airfield attack. I just lost a game because I had a large number of fighers on france, and they were was supply near them but they were not fueled to go and german attacked
(computer) with a bunch of fighers and destroyed every single one of them. If they were fueled would it be air-to-air combat and when they are not fueled its ground combat?

I have searched the manual and couldn't find anything.
