What is definition of Halting?

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

What is definition of Halting?

Post by GBS »

Also is it a Task, Reaction, Action, or Deployment. Trying to get a handle of the Task/Reaction Action/Deployment boxes on the unit screen. Another thing, I saw in the left box MOVING and in the right box DUG IN......how can that be? The manual doesn't give a lot of detail on this.

Arjuna can explain this better than me but in general, a unit that has not yet reached it's final task objective location and is in good order will halt if it spots something in order to deploy for firing if there is a worthy target.

A unit that has not fulfilled it's task of moving to it's final task objective location and has not moved because it or it's HQ is under fire, suppressed/disorganized/exhausted for a long enough time will eventually change from deployed to dug in even though their orders are to keep "moving".

hope that helps explain it a little.
