Infantry Thinks its Armor

Post by lparkh »

Probably I'm missing something but 1st rifle corps shown with infantry symbol on right side unit display on map seems to be manifesting itself as an armor unit (note icon on map). I have 2 units in the hex and you are seeing both selected. I have saved the game.
Am I right to see this as a bug? Note 1st Rifle Corps reports no vehicles.

Further apparent glitch.. in the popup window I can get by mousing over the units the 1st Rifle is reported as 6-6 unit and yet on the right side display it is 6-0 :-(

No, it looks like the game is just displaying the 78th Tank Brigade on top of the stack. Not at my gaming rig but I believe armored units always default to being on top of the stack. Just because you click on the Rifle Corps, the stack won't rotate the unit displayed on the map. The "6-5" CV is the combination of both the Tank Brigade and the Rifle Corps together.

I see the value on the top of the stack is the dynamic total of all units in the stack.. clever.. but unexpected :-) Would be a good item to mention in the tutorial :-)
Thanks.

Good point there, I see it's not as intuitive as I thought it would be.
