There should be a late 44 scenario

As i stated in the war room i have played the old game USAAF and there one scenario started in August 44. I feel that there should be such a opportunity here also so one didnt have to spend time on Overlordmissions. I dont want my AFs tied up killing time in Normandy, i want them to put fear in the civilians.

Would depend what you wanted from such a scenario. One with a historical Order of Battle may prove to be a very one-sided affair for the Allied player, in terms of available planes. If you just wanted to enjoy kicking the LW while it was down, then that's what you would get.

If you wanted something similar, but wanted a competition, then some kind of hyperthetical beefing up of the LW would be needed. Remember the Axis player has lost a whole year of getting his prodution and research exactly how they want it.

A two player playable version, may well require a third OOB, with something in between the above two extremes ?

Anyone know how far the game will play itself if you leave it on computer vs computer ? ie can you get to this date before the victory conditions trigger and make your own scenario ?
