Map Box Shows Force Distribution?

OK, maybe this is another newbie question but how can I prevent the map box in the lower left of the screen from displaying the entire enemy army while the AI is taking its turn? I suppose I could just not look but there must be a way unless this is intentional...I have both FOW selections on for myself and the AI.

You can turn it off in the preferences under Show Jump Map on/off.
