So which should I play first?

Have just got both DW and the Shaktari so apologies for what may be dumb questions! Are the two identical to play or is Shaktari the improved version without updating the rest? What I really want to know is which should I plunge into first - or for all I know are they one and the same?

Hi Mariandavid,

You should install both as the expansion improves the original, whether you play with the expansion storyline or not. I'd suggest playing with just the original storyline at first, as it will be easier than dealing with the expansion endgame if you are still learning.

I'm a bit confused sorry... I own both DW and now the expansion ...

Both storylines can be run in the same game? The expansion kicks in after the original one, right?

And now, for the dumbiest question ... there is a story line in the original? Except for a few messages relating a race now long gone, I never saw something significant (I mean ships etc.) in the original game? That's it?

And if I check both, will the expansion storyline be delayed until the first storyline is played?

They can run in the same game and will do so during the same time. I don't want to give out any spoilers but they integrate nicely together.

If you look at justascratchs AAR-teaser third screen (victory conditions) there are 2 checkboxes for original and expansion storylines.
