Operation Blitzkrieg France has started. German armored units are attacking through the Ardennes, while another 47 motorized divisions are outflanking the Maginot Line and pushing deep towards Paris.

After taking the wargaming and strategy market by storm, Battlefield Academy now expands to a new front with this amazing new add on. Players are now able to control the German forces and lead them to the conquest of Paris.

With 25 new units & 28 modified units with new camouflage, 9 single player missions, 4 multiplayer missions and a host of new upgrades and bonuses, Blitzkrieg France is a perfect addition to the award winning wargame of the year.

Battlefield Academy has been acclaimed as one of the best strategy games of 2010 and the number of players has been constantly growing since release in August. Today over 500 multiplayer games live at any time during the day and 450,000 turns have been played in total. Since its first release the development has added 31 units to the original game, 21 new maps were created to support and 9 updates were released in a constant effort to support the community and to listen to their feedback.

This continuous strive to improve products has now become one of Slitherine’s key missions: “We are willing to support our products in the best possible way”, said Iain McNeil, Development Director at Slitherine. “We follow closely what happens in the forums and we are always trying to be very responsive to customers feedback as we believe this is the best way to stay closer to the community”.

Blitzkrieg France is available on both Slitherine and Matrix Games sites at the price of $ 14,99.

Inspired by an original online game concept devised by the BBC © BBC 2004, Battlefield Academy uses the BBC logo under licence from BBC commercial licensing. It does not relate to any current BBC programming.
