missing unit from existing scenario

Post by shane56 »

the 1st SS LSAH mot div is missing from the 1942 Operation Blue.scn scenario, as it is not present on the map anywhere or with the XIV pz korps where it was historically at the start of this campaign. Please fix thanks..

The division never participated in the operation. Hitler was concerned about a possible invasion of France in the summer of '42 so he put severe restrictions on the use of the LAH and Das Reich. In mid July, Das Reich and LAH were withdrawn to France.

am now at 08/08/1942 (august is first) with the blue scenario and army group "A" HQ has not showed up, plus army group south is still named "south" and has not been renamed "B" please fix, as my history book (by albert seaton) states that army group "A" took over operationally by 9th july 1942. Must admit that this american date system is confusing, as it is not logical to have month first, when it should be day first like most of the world uses.

I suspect I will have to convert the sav file into a scn file edit it and create my own army group "A" with GFM List commanding it, then convert back to scn file and play.

Thankyou

They will show up but you have to meet the requirements of capturing Azoz, Bataysk, and Manych before they will appear as per 7.6.7 GERMAN ARMY GROUP SOUTH RE-DESIGNATION. I played an Operation Blue scenario several weeks ago and they did arrive.
