The second week of GFM von Techex's invasion of sacred Russian soil saw heavy fighting all along our western front. Massive amounts of tanks remain to stall the enemy, as well as countless numbers of men ready to give their lives for the Rodina. Sadly, all efforts to free these men from von Techex's steel tentacles have failed. The isolated troops are fighting to the last man, drawing Fascist blood with every bayonet thrust.

Comrade Stalin calls for every man to flock to the colors, including the graduates of 1942-46.

Leningrad front: Peter's city is being fortified, in the face of savage attacks by the enclosing and ever war-hungry Finns.

Northwest Front: Although basically a hollow formation due to heavy losses, this Front will soon be filled with able bodied men willing to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Kalinin Front: Four Corps are fortifying a line that no army can pass.

Western Front: The Smolensk line being untenable, this Front is withdrawing eastward to prepare for a counteroffensive due to be launched at any time...success is guaranteed, as Comrade Stalin has made it clear that Konev's failure to hld the line could mean that his family's hands may become calloused in the cold of Siberia.

Bryansk Front: Units are Being raised around a core of veterans ready to crush the Fascist menace.

Orel Front: A shortage of divisional staff mean that this front is in the early stages of organization. NKVD troops are there to ensure that the new units don't suffer from desertion. Though when the NKVD are present, the attritional losses are the same.

Southwest Front: Kiev is being fortified while the industries of the area are being moved by rail to behind the Urals. An impressive array of weaponry await von Techex's minions. AS per Stalin's orders, the follow-up squads are there to motivate the frontline troops to greater feats for the motherland.

Kharkov Front: Digging in and building units around a dedicated cadre of men. Where this cadre came from is unknown since most of the men came up missing after the last purges.

Southern Front: The defense of the city of Dnetropovlask (i think my spelling of that city gets worse every time) is being prepared around a solid core of troops saved from last week's debacle. A few timely executions have ensured that all elements of faintheartedness have been erased.

The Air war: A new training program tested recently promises to bring our pilots skills enough to destroy the barbarians before he can reach the heart of our sacred (after catching my typo...did you realize that sacred and scared are just one misstroke apart?) country.

Industrial Front: The newest and best tanks and planes are now exclusively rollng off the production lines at a pace the fascists cannot hope to meet. The placing of Army Kommisars at the factories alone has boosted production by 17%.

Now...on to the Gulag Olympics....

Leonid from Collective Farm 217 inquired about the Silver and Bronze winners from last week's games, so we'll respond before we continue.
The Silver medal winners all receive 6 years of hard labour in addition to their current sentences.
Bronze medal winners receive 12 years of hard labour in addition to their current sentences

Now, to this week's premier events....

The 300 metre minefield dash: Prisoner Chugachev won the coveted gold medal in this event as all of the other 1,327 athletes were obliterated before they reached the finish line. Cagily, he was the last off the start line. Sadly, the finish line is also the camp perimeter fence, and he was executed before he could escape.

The 1K Informants relay: Stoolies...err, I mean prisoners Potemkin, Pugachev, Artemeyev, and Shugalov...won the Gold in a spectacular finish in this team event. This event sees teams of four marching at a stately 60 paces per minute through long cordons lined with fellow Gulag members armed with birch canes. To maximize participation, a sexually frustrated NKVD man is placed between every 12 workers armed with a bolo whip. All members of team Potemkin had expired before the halfway point, earning them the Gold, and immediate release from all labour duties.

Staff Sergeant Igor Igorovich Igorov was the winner in today's only 'Guards Only' event. By carrying out a stunning 327 executions in haklf an hour, he wins high marks for original thinking as well as a gold medal. While the other competitors were content to gun down troops with their Makarov pistols, Sergeant Igorov came up with the novel idea of using a flame thrower.

Well, that's it for this week. Tune in next week for the final events, and a spectacular closing ceremony you won't want to miss. Now, stay tuned for the Aeronautical Instruction program entitled "The Hun in the Sun"
Jesus ...., with all respect. This closet germanism is allways killing me.
