Army Group South Split ?

Post by tiger111 »

I have read the part of the manual regarding the splitting of AGS to Army Groups A and B. However its 3/18/43, Turn92, and they haven`t split so far. Am I just impatient and they will, or has something gone wrong....?

Thanks.

I don't have the manual handy but it is covered in the rules. You have to capture three towns south of the Don around Rostov to trigger the split.

Thanks el hefe for the reply.
However as well as geographic locations it says in p148 7.6.7 that the split also automatically occurs on the 1st turn in March `43. I`m well past that now and the split has not occurred. I really need that extra high HQ.

Hmm in the manual on page 150 it says it happens if Azov,Bataysk,Manych are captured or automatically happens on the first turn in march 1943 if the first condition has not been met.

There was an issue with AGS not splitting up in AG A and AG B for the three dot hexes that was fixed pre-release, but the issue might've returned for the automatic split Augustas. If you have a saved game for the turn from February to March, that would be helpful.

My AGS has split - must have been in August '42 based on geography.
