Update to 1.4(or is it 1.04) not working

The updater says i have the most update version but when i start the game, I'm still running 1.024.

V strange. I can't really comment on the foibles of the updater.  All I can suggest is to re-install the game. v1.4 works fine

I get XML Validation Error after I try to update to latest patch. Game worked with out patch.

I recieved same XML error after installing patch 1302. Game works with out any patch. UG!

I'm not sure what version your Armada installer is. But I'd uninstall the game and you might even want to delete the directory the game is in. Your saves should be safe elsewhere. Then reinstall the Armada 2526 base game. Verify which version it is by running the game and looking in the lower left of the game menu screen. If it is lower than version 1.3.0.2 then download and install v1.3.0.2 from here. This is a comprehensive update and will install all files from previous updates. Then once you verify that works, install patch v1.4.0.0 here. That will bring Armada 2526 up to date.

Thanks for your reply mbar. I think a newer version of net framework was used on the patches then the one that the game downloaded. I could play game with out patch. The day after I patched and the game would not run Microsoft sent me an update. It was for a new version of net framework. Once download and was installed Armada 2526 ver 1.4 worked. YIPPY!
