Iron Bottom Sound.......

Post by ilovestrategy »

was never by the Solomons. At least not in my case! So many American and Nip ships have sunk off of Pearl Harbor it's not even funny!

I've starting to get the hang of deploying and moving units around on Hawaii. It's May 1942 and I've finally driven the Japs up to the top hex of Hawaii but they keep getting reinforced by sea. By the time I finally drive them off the Japs are gonna own everything West of Hawaii! [X(]

How you guys win at WiTP I cannot even begin to fathom to imagine. This game is simpler and I have my back to the wall. [&o]
After 16 years, Civ II still has me in it's clutches LOL!!!
Now CIV IV has me in it's evil clutches!

Don't be upset.
In WWII:ToW in a current PBEM as the Brits, I have just had to evacuate Egypt.
The RN is gone (I saved 3 groups badly mauled). I have 1 each RAF fighter and tactical bomber units that my opponent doesn't know about, two-thirds of five-eighths of sweet FA in terms of recurring PPs and in gametime it's still only October 1940!

Wastelands write good aggressive AIs, but nothing matches the fury and sheer bloody-mindedness that a human opponent brings to the game.

I hope my Soviet allies (also human) are up to the blitzkrieg ahead!
For every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction

WITP lovers will bash this game's AI for being impossibly unrealistic on a historical aspect.
But it makes for a fun game if you ask me. :)
Which reminds me, maybe I should give this game another go.
I just can't get used to the no stacking rule and very limited resources to do things.

I've only played WiTP a couple of times. In what way does WiTP give you resources to do things?
