Patch?

Post by rich12545 »

Just wondering if you folks are ever going to come out with the patch for HCE. It's been more than two months now. And it's been two weeks since I asked in the HCE forum and that was ignored by MG personnel.

No reply in the HCE forum for two weeks.  No reply here all day.  I guess it's buy HUE or screw you, no patch.

I agree with you, rich12545. Do not waste more money until you try the long waited patch--if it really works as they claimed , then buy it.

That's good advice except for one thing.  The patch is already two months late and MG staff is ignoring all requests for info about it.  It very much looks like the patch will never arrive.  If MG is trying to piss people off, they're doing a good job.

Just what claims have been made about the HC patch? Rich was directed to a patch that gets him most of the way there. I think you may be thinking of ANW ruixilyy and not HC.

No, I'm only playing HC not ANW.  I'm already using the patch you directed me to.  The claim that has been made is current owners of HCE will receive the HCE HUE update.  In other words, we will get a patch to bring HCE up to the HUE level.  Waaaaay back when, in another thread, Erik said they would try to get it out within a couple of weeks.  It's now been a couple of months.

The thing that pisses me off more than anything is the lack of communication from MG staff.  Where are they?  I've posted and I've sent a pm to Erik.  Zero response.

In the Close Combat Modern Tactics forum Erik promised a patch a year and a half ago.  No patch.  Several requests for info on the patch by different players have been totally ignored by MG staff.  A year and a half.  It looks like the HCE patch is going the same way.  Two months late already and MG staff is refusing to give any info on what's going on.

Hi Everyone,

We are not ignoring anyone on purpose. We simply got incredibly busy last year and are still catching up again on a backlog that includes a lot of updates. The plan is indeed to provide an update for H3ANW and HCE to bring them up to the initial Ultimate release level. My first guess on that was obviously wrong. We are working on them now though and they will happen.

Rich,

Regarding Close Combat: Modern Tactics, we do plan to update that this year but I don't have a better estimate for you. There's a major event coming for the entire Close Combat series, hopefully by the end of the month.

Regards,

- Erik

Erik, thank you very much for posting.  I was concerned a whole lot more with the lack of info than the actual time frame.  As long as you post from time to time with what you know I'm happy.    [:)]

I am also waiting for the CCMT patch since my purchase about one and half year ago. Hope the patch will ultimately come this year. Regarding the 'claimed' patch which brings the H3ANW and HCE to HUE, i do hope they come as soon as possible. Otherwise i will not buy the HUE.

Ok, Erik.  It's been a month and a half since your last promise for the HCE patch.  Your excuse then was end of the year busy.  That should be over.  What's your excuse this time?

IT'S NOW BEEN ALMOST FOUR MONTHS.

I'm obviously not Erik but there has been movement. The last installer Matrix sent (the third attempt) for the patch met with my approval. That doesn't mean the installer is perfect but it is at least as good as the previous patch installers. Some days I'm an optimist and I'd say it is a good sign when Matrix sends three installer builds in less than a week for testing. It took me a few days to even get through testing the last one so I can be blamed for a little bit of delay.
