2 recommendations for future games and a question

Post by ilovestrategy »

1. On the Exit to desktop feature it would be nice to have a "Are you sure?" or a "Do you wish to save your game before leaving?" feature after you hit the exit button. Twice I almost hit that button and I would have lost my progress. Luckily, I save quite often. The way it is now, it takes you directly out of the game with no confirmation.

2. Second, its a little easier to understand if the button after you select your saved game says "load game" instead of start. It was a little confusing because I thought it meant start a new game instead of starting my saved game.

3. Third, is there a way to group types of ships in my fleet lists? Like all battleships together, carriers together and so on. That way i could see from a glance just how many of each ship I have in each fleet.

4. I just wanted to say this is the best strategy game I've played in a long time. I love how the Japanese AI keeps jumping all over the place and keeps me on my toes. For example, I've pushed the Nips back to Australia and 2 Nip carriers showed up and Pearl for bombing runs. I was lucky I had planes all over the island just in case. Well done.

5. If you could explain the difference between tactical and strategic bombers and what they can and cannot do I'd be grateful.

Edited for spelling!

Thanks for the suggestions and kind words. [:)]

I'll try to answer your questions.
3. If you have got your fleet selected on the fleet screen, you can press on the title bar to sort ships. so if you will press name they will sort in alphabetical order, pressing type will sort them with types. the same goes for health and fire power. This kind of selection can be also done for fleets.
5. Strategic bombers have usually two times longer range. They are also better in destroying PP in cities. Tactical bombers are better in attacking units.

One more question. How do nukes work? I've researched them in the research chart but still cannot buy any.

I don't have the numbers with me, but when you will reach nuke level 1, each couple of months you will receive a new nuke.

So, I'm not going to buy one like I would a carrier or infantry unit?
