Old Players Just Fade Away: Mogami

Post by Canoerebel »

I was too late to UV to catch the legend that was Mogami. And I was too late to WitP to catch him there. But I recall things like "the Mogami method" to handle pilots in WitP - some kind of complicated routine to train pilots that was later rendered obsolete by a patch. He was also a moderator for several games. So I've heard about the legend, but I don't know him. Yet I know enough to perceive that there would be a tremendous outburst of enthusiasm were he to show up one of these days.

Who could forget "Beer Made Me Do It," the AAR of the game that resulted when Mogami, after consuming a quantity of suds, was talked into a PBEM in which he attempted an invasion of the US West Coast?

The last word I remember is that the Army and a new wife were monopolizing his time.  [:)]

Canoerebel -

As a very new WitP player, Mogami's systematic approach to Pilot training game me a solid basis upon which to start and learn. I do miss him and hope that he returns.
