Awe and Appreciation

Post by tverdel »

The SPWAW Mega Campaigns are the most fascinating and addicitive wargames I have ever encountered.

I started this hobby in 1958 with "Gettysburg" and have owned literally hundreds of these games over the years.

Until now I was not a devotee of "tactical action" games but this one is really incredible. I am beginning to remember and understand bits and pieces of tactical doctrine that I had long ago forgotten.

This is the first time I have played a computer wargame where the actions I take have results (good or bad) that I would expect to encounter on a real battlefield.

I know you have "detuned" artillery a little bit but this is the only thing I actually slightly disagree with. As an old artilleryman, I am still convinced that it is the most deadly ground weapon on the battlefield.

Maybe I will actually win a scenario some time this year!!!

Thank you for a great product.

Tom Verdel:)

Welcome aboard and all I can stress is read the manual and practice and the victories will come to you in due time (unless your playing something by Wild Bill, then a draw is the best we all can hope for).:)
