Serious enough. 6,5 richters in the city of Christchurch. Finnish newpapers speak about at least 65 deaths, and around 200 people are still trapped in the rubble.

In what city are Codeforce offices located? Maybe in the north island and not the south island where the earthquake hit.

Copeforce is based in Auckland. Don't have a map available to tell you if that is closeby or not.

Just saw a report on the devastation...Christchurch looked worse than a warzone from the clips that were shown. [:(]

It's times like this that I'm glad I live in the middle of nowhere, not near tectonic plates, the ocean etc. Tornado alley is bad enough, but at least you can go underground to escape them...in an earthquake there is no where safe to go. [:(]

Auckland is on the North Island of New Zealand, while Christchurch is on the South Island.

I thought I saw you post once that you lived in the midwest.....if you do then you do have things to worry about. They just aren't as noticeable or as frequent in happening. The midwest has a fault line that is active and there was a huge quake there I think just before the turn of the century...that had the area been more populated would have been devastating....as it was it released toxic gasses that killed some locals. Also, you should be aware that it is true that Yellowstone is truly a massive volcano that is scheduled to once again wake sometime around now. If it were to go up it would have truly devastating consequences for the United States and indeed the world ( I'm not a 2012 crazy...the volcano simply exists like Mt. St Helens ).

At any rate I wish New Zealand the best and offer my condolences to the family's of those lost and affected.

As an FYI:
The last time Luke signed on was just after Christmas.
The last time Elliot signed on was last month... so they maybe fine.

Unless they are cloaked and do not want us to know they are on the boards... sounds like IGARD work to me...

Anyway, no reason to jump to any conclusions. They probably do not even know we are concerned about them...

As Erik indicated sometime last week, we have an ETA on the new patch (by the end of this week). They may be working on that; at any rate we can only speculate atm, we'll know for sure soon enough.

Hi Guys,

I just heard from Elliot and I am happy to report that he and his family are fine, though some did have damage to their property.

Regards,
