Are my planes flying?

Post by Jaypea »

Hello all! Need some help please:

I have my soviet air doctrine set to 0% required to fly and 300% fighter intercept. Everything else to 100%. My air units are attacked by German AI player with unescorted bombers and I do not see any of my planes flying. It shows 0 fighter (DEF) in the central box during the attack phase but lists all of my fighter units in the right box. My morale is around 80% and experience above 50%. What do they not fly? I have good air ratings on the HQ (7) and they are at 100& supply and TOE.

Help is appreciated.

Are you sure 300% is correct ? Did you test something like 100% ?

Perhaps AI do not manage to found enough planes to fullfill your orders.

Hi Stelteck, I tried all settings from 50% to 300%.   I have over 100+ fighters in each unit and none will fly :(.

You need at least 5% required to fly I think.

Thank you Mehring but that did not help.   I see my planes intercepting the reconnaisance flights over other units but not flying when their own AF is bombed.   SOunds like a bug.

Same here. Cannot defend my AFs from being bombed to dust despite having many a/c there and in the nearby bases

Soviet union didn't have a fully deployed radar system at the time, maybe you simply aren't detecting the enemy bombers intime to field the interceptors.

Also guys have you checked to see if your fighters still have available miles left to fly to intercept the AF raids? They may have used them all on/against other raids prior?

Install the latest patch; there was a problem with earlier ones where Soviet fighters did not defend airfields.
