Two questions for Gold

Post by LarryP »

1) In Advanced Tactics, when I hover over items, information is displayed in a bar. I love that feature and it was NOT incorporated into Decisive Campaigns (right-click for help instead). Will help like that be in the Gold edition?

2) Map zoom in Decisive Campaigns requires clicking buttons instead of using the scroll wheel on my mouse. I don't know whether the map will need zooming in or out, but if it does, will the mouse scroll be used for map zooming?

I am really looking forward to this Gold edition! One of my favorite Matrix games of all time is AT. [&o]

1) Help items still show up on the bar when hovered over.

2) Zoom in and out is done with buttons just like DC. No mouse scroll.

I'm going to pick this up regardless, but Matrix/Vic please, please add mouse-wheel scroll zoom in the first patch or something.

It's such a natural and easy way to zoom. There's a reason nearly every game with a zoom function, strategy/rpg or otherwise ties zoom to the mouse wheel.

We asked for this in Decisive Campaigns and did not get it. I doubt if we will get it in Gold then. Big shame too, as it's so clunky to click buttons to zoom in and out.

Mouse wheel zoom would be great. You can use the + and - keys to zoom.

Toss my vote in for mouse wheel zoom.

Funny thing is, I've gotten very used to cntl++ or cntl-- for zooming, it's almost second nature.
History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.
