I Need some help with carrier aircraft

Post by lexo1014 »

In San Diego i have the Yorktown sittin there with 90/69 on the aircraft.
So i am wanting to add another flight of planes to top this ship off.
In SD i have a flight of 18 more wildcats that are carrier capable as well as some DB's
I clicked on the planes, then clicked transfer to ship and no ship shows up.

How do i move Planes to my carrier? I went thru 22 or so pages on the forums and coudnt find anything on this.
Please help me get my planes loaded on my carrier.
Thanks

Carriers have a limit on the number of groups that can be aboard, I think it's 4 groups. So if you already have 4 groups aboard you might not be able to load more on.

Not sure about that limit as i have 4 carriers Lexington/enterprise/ and saratoga all have 5 groups onboard.
Its got to be something else that i am missing and the manual isnt specific on HOW to do it.

The limit for US CV's is 5 squadrons.  I think the CV's might need to be in a TF that is undocked to fly planes onto them.

The carrier has to be in a task force, it can not be disbanded in port. If a ship is in port, you can not transfer plans on or off of it.

Most likely the aircraft you are trying to transfer are assigned to a restricted command. The unit limit on CVs is 5. You can transfer aircraft to a disbanded CV if the the air group starts in the same hex as the CV( they will all be listed as damaged ). You can transfer aircraft from a CV that is disbanded in a port to the normal transfer limit.

Who needs Wildcats, throw a group of F-14s and a group of F-18's onboard and you'll be better than fine.

As far as I know, you do not have to send it out of port. Just create a taskforce and then transfer...

F14's, That would make for a very cool movie. Some how send an Aircraft carrier back in time to re-fight Dec. 7.  Then accidentally leave one of the pilots back in time so when the ship returns to normal time the missing pilot can then re-join the ship.  Oh you must put a lost dog in the movie that gets re-united with it's owner.  I'm game for making that movie.  Send me $$$$$ for this project.
