Where are my routed units?

Post by 76mm »

Not sure if I'm imagining this, but...

I'm playing a 1941 GC vs the Axis AI with Version 1.03. When I watch the AI turn, it shows many Soviet units being routed. During my turn, if I click on the battle icons, it shows "Unit X routed" (NOT shattered). However, unlike in previous games I'm played, very few of these routed units seem to appear on the map; I don't know where they've gone?

Could it be they recovered in the logistics phase, and as such they appear as normal units on the map?

Take a note of the division number that routs and try to find that specific division on the map in your next turn

Heh, I guess that's the most obvious answer, but I didn't even think of it because usually routed units take a few turns to rally. I'll pay a bit more attention.

Some routed units (tank?) can I believe disband right after rallying. Maybe that's the case here...

That is also true .. and some mechanized divisions are redesignated as rifle divisions, so you kinda 'loose' the mech icon, while the division is still there.
Check your logistics phase log as there will be messages stating which division have been reformed/redesignated.
