Plimus Purchase Problems

Post by sabre1 »

Just checking to see if anyone else has had this problem since Plimus took over.

I bought the physical copy on all my purchases. In all 3 instances, I was unable to DL the game to my computer. I was able to DL when I clicked on "run" instead of save. This problem has only occured since Plimus has taken over the purchase system.

If I click on "save", it just sits there and won't ever DL the program.

I just purchased CCF and GGWAW, and had the same problem on both game DL's.

Strange problem, so I thought I would post here to see if anyone else has had that happen.

Thanks for the info.

I just bought Decisive Campaigns: From Warsaw to Paris yesterday, and had no problems using "Save".

I would do all the usual troubleshooting, like checking your firewall settings, reboot, twirl around 3 times while reciting the Kama Sutra, etc...

This sounds like a system-specific issue, but we will investigate.

What operating system and browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser?

I switch back and forth from IE and Firefox. Firefox seems to work best with Plimus.

When I bought SotP I got the hard disk, but when they sent the download email it was blank or did not work. It turned out that my ISP has a new program and will sometimes not allow emails with attachments unless you put there email address in the good to go box. As it turned out almost all my plimus emails with the attached download for the game were withheld. Once i put there email address in the good box I had no more problems.
I agree with Eric that it is some kind of system setting or ISP program that is the cause of the problem. It could be any one of a number of causes. The only way I found out was they send me a summery of the emails they withhold and It was the first summery I received. I now get them weekly. Good luck in finding the cause.

Andrew,

Vista 64, IE 8.

I keep everything up to date. Digital River, never gave me any problems. Same system.
