BOTB for operational mapping using Combat mission?

Have this wargame and the other 2 in the series. Excellent and unique systems. Just curious. New to modding and with Combat Mission coming out very soon can one use BOTB mods for an operational combat mission map/system. Some of the guys on the CM sight have made reference to this area and the mod for operational mapping.. How does it work? BOTB is realtime so how do they get around this. Just use the scenario editor to move units and then play the tactical battles via the CMBN system?

CMBN covers Normandy...this game covers the bulge...you will have to wait until CM brings out the Bulge game....however modules need releasing before then...

Hav eno idea how they could be used concurrently anyway...not possible for CM game to alter the results of BftB...you'd need a turn based system for operational level with CMBN..and one at coy or battalion level only....and be able to alter who wins and loses aswell....tough call

You could easily enough modify BFTB to cover some/all of the Normandy Battles.

What wouldn't be so easy is importing the battle results back into the running scenario - essentially you would need to completely rebuild the scenario each time the tactical battle was fought.

Ya thats what I thought also. They linked me here and advised there was a MOD that allowed for such manipluation to allow operational movements with the scenario editor for BFTB. Then conducting Combat mission tactical battles. I will have to try to figure out furtgher. Thanks!
