I am looking to start another GC once the 1.04 patch is released and am seeking a determined and ruthless Russian player who has the fortitude to take a pounding. Server based, FOW, historical weather etc - PM to discuss if interested. Thanks!

Just as a side note, there is no historical weather setting. It is either random or non-random. With non-random you get a fixed weather schedule as per the manual and with random there is a chance that each weather zone will have other than the set weather schedule once per season. IMO the latter option (random) tends to come closer to the real difficulties both sides had, especially when you get mud in one zone and not another during the summer.

By the way good luck on your game, 1.04 should be out before long.

Thanks for the clarification. TBH I haven't tried random weather before, sounds like a good option to explore.
