Surviving crews in Campaign

If they are full crews, how can I put them back in tanks rather than using the crew supplied with the new tank purchased.
If they are damaged crews how can I build them back up and still keep some or all of their experience, morale, kills etc.

During a scenerio, if the tank is damaged and the crew bails out, keep them in the same hex, and when they feel it is safe they will return to their tank.

After a scenerio, if there is even one surviving member of a crew, they will retain their skill level when you rebuild their tank. If you want them in a different tank, "FIX" them first, then "CHANGE" them into a different tank so you won't lose their experience. Yes, you do waste some points this way, but consider it a "dumbkoff penalty" for getting their original tank killed in the last battle, Herr General!

This sounds like the left over crew bug from ver 1.0, in which case you can't get them to reman the tank. You can "upgrade" them to reg infantry and still keep the experience, but they will not get the repaired tank even if you have the new crew bail and move them to the tank spot. They'll just sit there smokin' a stoge till they get shot or the battle ends.
Only way to fix this is upgrade to ver 2.x. It's a bummer, I know. I was 1/2 way through the campaign before I realized that there was no fix for this. And of course, upgrading to 2.x makes your current campaign invalid

In the mean time you can still have fun filling out your force a little
