Auto Unload Option

I just got this, I read the manual, and I am ready to start the Tuturial soon. I see an Option for "Auto Unload." I want to use this, I think.

Is there ever a time that using the Auto Unload feature is a bad thing?

Maybe you just want to move troops to a strategic position but don't want them to be unloaded there. I use the basis unload option for civilians only.

I do the same thing as Anguille: I use the auto-unload option for civilians, but not for troops.
